Aspire Foundation delivers a range of family support services. This includes a Targeted Family Support Service as part of the county’s Early Help offer. Early Help aims to identify issues children and families face early on and intervene with packages of support to prevent needs getting worse.
Our Family Support Workers (FSWs) provide emotional and practical help alongside advice and challenge to families who are experiencing long or short-term difficulties.
We do this by:
Working directly with children and families
Supporting stable, positive family networks
Agreeing a common purpose and actions
Gaining the child’s views and voice
Offering parenting support and advice.
Home visits
Visiting the child in school or other educational setting
Support at the centre
Signpost to other agencies
Hold team around the family (TAF) meetings
Complete a family assessment
Multi-agency working
Parents, carers and professionals working with families can make a request for help through a central referral route known as ‘the front door’. More information can be found here:
