Aspire Foundation was previously known as Gardners Lane and Oakwood Federation.

Aspire Foundation, previously known as Gardners Lane and Oakwood Federation, is a registered charity (1155305) founded to support children and families ‘aspire and achieve’

We have over 20 years’ experience of delivering successful, high-quality early intervention services and educational programmes to families with young children. These include local Sure Start programmes, family support services, children’s centres, primary schools and early year’s settings.

We aim for children and families to achieve their potential together through the provision of support, information, learning and play opportunities.

Our People

Aspire Foundation is governed by a highly skilled and experienced board of directors from a range of disciplines. The board is supported by a senior management team.

Inspiring children and supporting families is our core business. It is important to us that our staff have the qualities and skills necessary to deliver high quality services, able to reflect, communicate, empathise and challenge as needed.

We invite our teams to put forward fresh ideas whenever opportunities arise.

Our Plan

Aspire Foundation has a vision of all children succeeding in life; and those children with low starting points breaking through the glass ceiling of social mobility. Through a whole-family approach we seek to harness aspirations and capabilities to achieve a confident, well-balanced next generation.

Funding

Aspire Foundation is forecast to receive income of £2,676,916.00 during the financial year 2023/24.

This income comes from 3 main sources:

  • Targeted Family Support Contract via Gloucestershire County Council.

  • Early Years Education Funding.

  • Other facilities/Services.

Finance / Statutory Returns

Our Directors’ board is responsible for the preparation and submission of key statutory documents, to Companies House and the Charity Commission. These are approved at an Annual General Meeting (AGM).
